The Tank Top
Tank Tops are definitely my style of choice as I prefer the freedom of movement they offer for the shoulder. I like a selection of tops for each color to match my skorts. Sometimes I prefer a loose fitting light cotton tops and sometimes I like a more fitted ribbed tanks. Cotton is the material that I recommend, but manmade materials work too.

Go for simple colors to start off as they are easy to match your other basic elements, especially your skort. Start with a color that you are very comfortable with. I suggest black or navy. For extra coverage I wear an undertank as well.
TIP: for care, I tend to wash my pickleball outfits on delicate and hang dry so they last longer and stay looking good. I don’t iron my tanks.
Here are some reasonably priced tanks that offer many color options that I have purchased. I have listed some of the advantages and features that I like about them.
This ribbed tank comes in sizes from small to xxl with options for 10 different colors. It is soft, absorbs sweat and is very breathable for hot summer play. The material is polyester and spandex. Cotton multi-color packs are a great value as you get a selection of colors that can be coordinated with your skorts or provide a color contrast to mix and match. A bit lighter than the ribbed tanks make them a good choice in hot weather. Small to xxl sizing is available. Breathable with 5% spandex means that these offer additional comfort. I have started to add interesting elements to my tanks in two ways. Adding a gathering around the neck is one way. The other is to purchase two of the same color and then adding details to the front of one tank from the other . I also use the material from the extra tank to create matching headbands and wristbands as part of my accessories.
