Now that I have been playing pickleball for a while, I have benefited from the physical, mental and social aspects of the game. Pickleball has improved my health, fitness, balance and emotional well being.
Along the way both myself and my hubby have also had our fair share of injuries and ongoing maintenance issues as over 60 players.
First and foremost I think the best course of action is to prevent problems before they start and maintenance is the key to this. I hope that the lessons learned that I will be posting about will help others to avoid injuries that limit pickleball play.
Secondly, in the unfortunate event that an injury does occur, which of course I hope doesn’t, perhaps my experiences may help lessen discomfort, pain and promote healing. The ultimate goal is to have as much fun as possible while playing pickleball and do it in our best possible condition. As always, it’s important to seek medical attention for any concerns and these posts are no substitute for that.
Wellness is key to helping make sure that you have a fun and long journey with pickleball. That is the best way to advantage of all the health benefits that playing this new game that I have grown to love so much.
